Representation
Martin Scott is the elected rep to the North Somerset Mental Health Local Implementation Team (LIT), alongside Carrie White and Claire Murphy who are job-sharing the second rep place that the Network nominates, via The Care Forum, to the LIT. In North Somerset the Voluntary Sector Team organises the:
North Somerset Voluntary Sector Mental Health Network
This network meets quarterly and is open to all voluntary and community sector organisations with an involvement or interest in mental health in North Somerset. Statutory sector partners are also welcome space permitting. The network elects voluntary sector reps on to the North Somerset Local Implementation Team (LIT) and receives feedback. It provides an opportunity for voluntary and community sector agencies working in mental health to share information and work together, as well as a forum for the voluntary and community sector to discuss issues and consult with policy makers in the statutory sector.

North Somerset Compact
The North Somerset Compact is an agreement between voluntary and statutory organisations about the way they work together. The B&NES Compact, aims to improve mutual understanding and encourage a more effective working relationship. The Codes of Good Practice give more detailed guidance on how this agreement will operate.
