Advocacy Services
Advocacy is taking action to help people say what they want, secure their rights, represent their interests and obtain services they need.
Advocates and advocacy schemes work in partnership with the people they support and take their side.
Advocacy promotes social inclusion, equality and social justice.
Advocacy Charter
Advocacy Services @ The Care Forum provides advocacy support through four projects: Complaints Procedure Advocacy, Mental Health Advocacy, IMCA and Drugs Advocacy Services. We work to enable people who do not feel they are being heard to speak up and express their views and to make their own decisions. We also provide non instructed advocacy for people who are not able to give instructions.
Complaints Procedure Advocacy
The project provides free, independent support and assistance to people who want to make a complaint against social and community care services within Bath and North East Somerset, Bristol and South Gloucestershire.

How do we work?
Advocacy Services works to empower our clients to speak for themselves as much as is possible. We do this by offering a self-help pack and using both volunteer advocates and professional advocates to support our clients. If you would like support from us click here for details how to contact us
