As predicted, the year of 2010/2011 has had its challenges and The Care Forum has weathered these and has ended the year in a fairly stable situation, despite making some difficult decisions. We have utilised brought forward restricted reserves where possible.
As we are all aware, the future holds more challenges, not just for The Care Forum, but also for the Public, Voluntary and Community Sectors as a whole. The Trustees and staff of the organisation are working hard to continue to deliver high quality support to our clients and to ensure the continued success of The Care Forum.
Our financial procedures continue to function effectively and efficiently and our auditors did not raise any issues concerning our financial controls as a result of carrying out their audit.
In my second year as Treasurer I have learnt more about the quality and variety of the work that the organisation is delivering and I am confident that with the continued hard work of its staff, The Care Forum will be successful throughout these hard times.
I should like to thank my Trustee colleagues for their hard work and the Chief Executive, Rachel Robinson, the Resources Manager, Angela Bragg and the Finance Officer, Mary-Jane Jones for their support in my role as Treasurer.
I would also like to thank all our funders and members without whose continued support we would be unable to contribute to the voluntary and community sector and its delivery of health and social care provision across the area and reach the wide number of individuals we are current able to support.
Matthew Maneely, Treasurer
