Caring for our future: views sought by Bristol City Council
Please follow this link to a template for your input as part of the local Bristol City Council led local consultation to the Department of Health's Caring for Our Future: shared ambitions for care and support.
Caring for our future, (http://caringforourfuture.dh.gov.uk/) is a consultation aiming to gather responses to the recommendations of the Commission on the Funding of Care and Support and of the Law Commission's recent report on social care. It introduces a number of topics which the Government believes should be priority areas for reform and invites views on the way forward. There are summaries of the issues on the Department of Health website. Councils have been invited to respond to the consultation and to consider facilitating public discussion and local responses by 2 December with a view to a Whiter Paper being produced by April 2012.
The attached templates list the consultation's six 'priorities' along with the various sub-questions to each of the priorities. Please may we ask you to address as many of the questions as you possibly can leaving out the areas where you feel you cannot comment.

Our team must feedback to you and the DoH the summarised responses by the 2 December thus it is important that your views on this important document reach us by the 28 November deadline. Subsequent entries could not be included in the final BCC submitted summary but stakeholders and interested parties can still comment directly on the DoH's website http://caringforourfuture.dh.gov.uk/
Please note that we endeavoured to cascade the consultation templates to as widely as possible but please feel free to forward our invitation to comment and the attached documentation to any stakeholder, interest group or individuals who might find it of interest.
