Drugs Advocacy

Drugs Advocacy Service

This project provides free, independent support and assistance to people who use, or wish to use Bristol's drug services. We can offer assistance to get your voice heard and your rights addressed on issues such as getting treatment that suits you, amount and type of medication [e.g. you feel you need a higher dose of methadone],complaints about services and many other drug treatment related problems.

How do we work?

We can offer different levels of support from advice around self advocacy through to trained volunteer advocates and professional advocacy. We support you to look at different options and possible outcomes so you can make informed choices about what you could do. We work to ensure people can represent their own interests as far as possible and not offer advice on how we think an individual should act.
