The Bristol Easton Corps of the Salvation Army is a thriving church which is active in the local community  The relief of poverty sickness and distress of preganant women and of unsupported mothes with one or more infant children and in particular(without in any way limiting the generality of the foregoing) by provbiding accomodation, protect and preserve good health and to advance the education of the public in all matters relating to pregnancy  The Brigstowe Project offers free confidential and independent information, advice and support for people affected by HIV who live in the Bristol area. We work to meet the needs of the person to improve their quality of life.

MusicSpace provides a community-based music therapy service for children, young people and adults in Bristol and the surrounding area. Our team of state-registered music therapists is currently working with around 400 people each week at our centre in Bristol.  Bristol West Indian Parents & Friends Association - monthly meetings, our aims and objectives are to promote a sense of mutual responsibility between parents, children and the host community, to assist the relationship between home and schools. A voluntary organisation, started in 1962. Organise monthly meetings and socials when the occasion arises. Saturdays 19:30 – 21:30 (once a month)  The Bristol Area Stroke Foundation (BASF) was established in 1975. We are a local organisation providing social, emotional and practical support to stroke affected individuals and their family. Our services cover Bristol and South Gloucestershire and we provide a number of group activities in these areas.  Brunelcare are renowned as a provider of high quality housing, care and support for older people in the South West. For 70 years we have been at the forefront of developing ways for people to stay as independent as possible, creating great communities to live, work and enjoy being in. 
  The main aim of the group is to break down the isolation suffered by chinese women and their families as a result of both language and cultural barriers.  The group works with individuals to develop their self-confidence and in groups to develop self help  Bristol Mediation is a local, charitable organisation with over 23 years’ experience of providing an independent and confidential neighbour and community mediation service. Our expertise is in helping individuals and communities to resolve their differences, and we can offer these services to people living in Bristol and surrounding areas.

provides contact details of local training providers, organisations and course providers.  he Addiction Recovery Agency (ARA) has nearly 25 years experience of providing specialist services for people with drug and/or alcohol issues. We provide a range of services including Advice and Guidance, Counselling, Structured Day Care, Supported Housing and Floating Support. In recent years services have been extended to include help for problem gamblers.   Bath Mind is an independent voluntary organization affiliated to Mind, working towards a better life for people diagnosed, labelled and treated as mentally ill. Bath Mind runs several services in the Bath & North East Somerset area for people experiencing mental ill health and for their carers.  ORIGINALLY FOUNDED IN 1985 AS A TRANQUILLISER WITHDRAWAL GROUP, THE BRISTOL & DISTRICT TRANQUILLISER PROJECT (BTP) IS A VOLUNTARY ORGANISATION SET UP TO HELP PEOPLE WHO ARE EXPERIENCING INVOLUNTARY ADDICTION TO PRESCRIBED MINOR TRANQUILLISERS, SLEEPING PILLS AND ANTIDEPRESSANTS.  Barnardo’s transforms the lives of vulnerable children across the UK through the work of our projects, our campaigning and our research expertise. We believe we can bring out the best in every child whether the issue is child poverty, sexual exploitation, disability and domestic violence.
  Bath People First supports members to be involved in improving services locally and nationally. This happens by getting involved in work such as Human Rights, Disability Equality, personal budgets, health, housing and employment.   The Tenants' Resource Centre exists to give tenants appropriate help and information on housing issues. We listen, we understand, we act  Avon Counselling and Psychotherapy Service. Working with the many organisations and charities who care for the elderly in the Greater Bristol Region we identify people who are isolated and lonely or need help to solve immediate financial problems.  Bristol Black Carers supports carers and those whom they care for to access mainstream care and health related public services.  We provide regular support group meetings, organise trips and activities to give carers a break and can offer support, advice and information, either over the phone or a home visit can be arranged.  We are dedicated to providing older people in Bristol with a real alternative to living on their own or going into a residential home before they may need to. Supported Sheltered Housing allows independent people the opportunity to maintain their own lifestyle whilst benefitting from an inclusive and supportive service from Abbeyfield, Bristol.   BEMSCA was formed in 1993 to provide a Luncheon Club, information and advise service to the Caribbean, Asian and Chinese elders in Bath . From opening one day a week at Riverside Youth and Community Centre, it went to two days (Monday & Friday) a week in 1995 to a new home at Fairfield House in Kelston Road.   Bristol Mind is a local resource for anyone wanting to look after their emotional or mental health and for those who provide friendship and support. We are committed to positively supporting individuals on their personal journey of recovery from the impact of emotional distress  Somerset Care and Repair incorporates Mendip Care and Repair and Bath and North East Somerset Care and Repair. Care and Repair is a Home Improvement Agency which provides a range of practical services designed to support elderly, disabled and vulnerable people and enable them to continue to live safe, warm and secure within their own homes.  The principal activity of Bristol Drugs Project is to reduce drug and alcohol-related harm; our mission statement reflects our emphasis on changing behaviour: Drug and alcohol problems damage individuals, families and communities. Bristol Drugs Project is reducing harm, promoting change, challenging prejudice and maximising people's potential.
  Battle Against Tranquillisers began as a self-help unfunded group in 1985. The need for such a group quickly became apparent. Bristol Drug Project contacted them within a few weeks of opening, to offer the use of a room. The reason was that so many people who contacted the Project were also taking benzodiazepines.  Alive! is a new charity dedicated to connecting with people now living in residential care. We currently work with over 100 homes in Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Dorset, Hampshire and Wiltshire.  Bristol Crisis Service for Women is a national organisation that supports girls and women in emotional distress. We particularly help women who harm themselves (often called self-injury).  Self-help group for people who suffer from bipolar disorder (manic depression) and their supporters   There are over 16,000 carers in the area. Many juggle work and other commitments along with their caring role, and most do not realise the range of services available to help them.  We are a leading independent insurance broker based in the South West working with a wide range of businesses and individuals throughout the UK to provide flexible insurance and risk management solutions with pro-active client support.

Opposes unfair discrimination on grounds of age. Aims to be representative of all older people in the city. Will be accessible and inclusive. Supports the involvement of older people in providing public and voluntary services
