BATH & NORTH EAST SOMERSET

SMOKE FREE SPORTS CLUBS GRANT 2016 /17.

Would you like to receive a £500 grant to buy extra equipment or provide additional facilities & training at your sports club?

 Leaflet Information

The smoke free sports club grant programme is provided by Sirona Care & Health in partnership with Bath & North East Somerset Council. It is designed to break the association between smoking, sport and young people.

To apply for the grant clubs must be involved in coaching young people (aged 6 – 17) in an outdoor sport – hockey, netball, football, rugby etc. The clubs must commit to provide a smoke free environment at the clubs whilst young people are training or are taking part in fixtures. Club coaches will be given training and resources to implement a smoke free policy that will contribute to creating an environment for young people that complements a healthy lifestyle.

Local sports clubs are the ideal place to promote a smoke free environment because you offer activities that contribute to the improvement of health and wellbeing to young people in our communities.

Grant applications open on TUESDAY 29TH NOVEMBER – CLOSING MONDAY 9th JAN 2017 .
