Bristol: How to manage loneliness and isolation? Taster sessions available

On 28th of February and the 7th March 2017, Happy City will be running two taster sessions looking at older people’s experience of loneliness and talking about novel ways to improve and manage feelings of loneliness.

These taster sessions are taking place at Windmill Hill City Farm, Philip St, Bristol BS3 4EA from 10 – 11.30am.

These sessions are open to people who are aged 50+ and who feel lonely or isolated within their community.

We will be exploring simple and gentle ways to increase wellbeing and reduce feelings of loneliness.

There is an eight-week course that follows on from these taster sessions, which will offer older people in Bristol the chance to learn simple ways to increase wellbeing and reduce loneliness through mindfulness and wellbeing practices.

The Wellbeing Course starts on 4th April and runs for 8 weeks. Participants will come together as a group once a week on Tuesdays from 10am to 1pm at the Windmill Hill City Farm, Philip St, Bristol BS3 4EA.

The 8-week course is free of cost and we can also help with transport costs.
