New Mental Health Peer Support Groups, in South Bristol

Changes Bristol in partneship with BS3 Community Development and Knowle West Health Park Cohave just opened up several new mental health Peer Support Groups, in South Bristol.

These are open access, do not need a referral or diagnosis and people can attend multiple groups, for as long as they like.  This is not a crisis service but our members find the groups invaluable for their positive mental health. 

Mondays

1-3pm Ashton Vale Community Centre, Ashton Vale, BS3 2QY

Tuesdays

3-5pm Withywood Centre, Queen’s Rd, Bishopsworth, BS13 8QA

Wednesdays

1.30-3.30pm Redcatch Centre, Knowle, BS4 2EP

Ongoing

7-9pm West Street URC Church, Stanley St S, Bedminster, BS3 3PG

Thursdays

1-3pm St Cuthbert’s Church, Sandy Park Rd, Brislington, BS4 3PG

Changes are following government guidelines and have their own risk assessments to ensure these groups are as safe as possible. These include limiting the group to a maximum of 15 people, wearing masks, physical distancing, Track and Trace procedures and providing hand washing/sanitising facilities. The venues are all accessible, and large and airy enough for appropriate distancing to be possible.
