Bristol University need your insight! – Social and informal Care Study

A team of researchers at the University of Bristol would like to invite you to take part in a research study. The aim of this research is to develop a questionnaire that can be used in research studies to ask people about their use of social care (e.g. home help) and informal care (e.g. unpaid care from family, friends, or members of the community), and anything they have had to pay for (e.g. home changes).

For this study, Bristol University would like you to complete a questionnaire about your use of health, social and unpaid care, and anything you have had to buy because of your health. If you agreed to take part they will send you the questionnaire in the post.

What is the purpose of this study?
The purpose of the study is to develop a new questionnaire that can be completed by people taking part in future research studies to report their use of social care and informal care, and any expenses they incur. These details are collected in research studies so that we can measure the impact of diseases and health conditions on individuals and society. As part of the development, Bristol University want to understand how best to ask questions on use of social care, informal care and personal expenses so the answers they get are as accurate as possible.
