Brigstowe-Type 2 diabetes Peer Mentoring Service relaunched

Brigstowe, in partnership with Sirona Care & Health, have relaunched their Type 2 diabetes Peer Mentoring Service in the South Glos, North Somerset & Bristol area which was put on hold due to lock down.

People living with Type 2 Diabetes can meet with a mentor on a weekly basis for up to 4 months, who also has Type 2 diabetes and will:-

·         Listen to the challenges or obstacles that person may have in terms of behaviour change

·         Share their own experiences of what helps

·         Provide appropriate information about type 2 diabetes 

·         Support to identify goals and will encourage, support and listen to you 

*Due to COVID-19 this is a digital service at the moment where meetings happen over Zoom/telephone.

If you yourself, or know someone that has recently been diagnosed or is struggling with Type 2 diabetes and would benefit from speaking to someone who is living well with the condition, please do get in touch.
