The Independent Mental Health Network are facilitating a new dedicated steering group for members of the LGBTQ+ community in the Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG) areas to come together and share their lived experience of trying to access mental health support, and discuss the quality of any support received.
The purpose of this is to create a safe and effective space for members of the LGBTQ+ community to raise and identify issues within local mental health support. This will enable them to effectively challenge problems and issues with local mental health support that affect people who identify as LGBTQ+, with the ultimate goal of bringing about positive change.
