Information on the end of the Healthy Weston consultation

Message from Julia Ross CEO Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire Clinincal Commissioning Group’s Chief Executive

On Friday 14th June the Healthy Weston consultation closed following 16 weeks of public engagement across our region. I want to take this opportunity to thank you for the support that your organisation has given to the consultation and wider programme through this period of intensive work.
We have had over 2,300 responses to the consultation including over 250 people attending public events and community meetings and over 850 surveys completed. Much of the feedback that we have received has been detailed and well informed and will be crucial for us as we move towards decision making.
The next step is for everything received through the consultation to be analysed by an independent agency. We will be drawing on this feedback to work closely with clinicians from across the system to propose a model of services for Weston General Hospital at our October 2019 Governing Body.
The case for change for Weston General Hospital remains a priority for the Clinical Commissioning Group. Our vision for a hospital that is strong and focused at the heart of the community continues to bring our partners from across the region together and we will keep you informed of how this develops over the coming months.

Yours sincerely
Julia Ross
Chief Executive
