Bristol BAB Update: Check out Celebrating Age Festival details – 9 October 2016

What a fantastic Sunday!

The Celebrating Age Festival was launched on Sunday 18th September at the MShed, as always with a day full of fun activities to suit everyone. It was great to see so many BAB partners at the stalls and to have a chance to say hello!

At the BAB stall we welcomed many delivery partners who joined us to showcase their work. On the day we were joined by  Dhek Bhal, Ujima Radio, University of Bath REACT Project, Happy City, Windmill Hill City Farm, Jacobs Wells Community Hub, NCBI and Civil Euro Perspective.

We also had a chance to give older people a preview of our Little Book of AWE – Ageing Well Everyday, which was been produced in collaboration with Happy City and local older people. The booklet gives key messages and tips based on the Five Ways to Wellbeing on how to incorporate activities and attitudes to our daily lives to improve our wellbeing and happiness, with a focus on later life. The booklet will be officially launched on the 1st October, UN Older People’s Day. Soon we will be releasing more information about the launch – stay tuned!

There are lots of activities happening during the Celebrating Age Festival, which runs until the 9th October, to find out more please visit celebratingagefestival.org.uk.
