Bristol: Survey for Professionals regarding services and support for Bristol Deaf Families

A Bristol survey of Support Services for Deaf children and Deaf parents

We are carrying out a survey of what support is currently available for hearing parents with deaf children and for deaf parents of both deaf and hearing children in the Bristol area.  This is being commissioned by Bristol Public Health.  The support given may range from giving out information to signposting families on to relevant organisations. Your support could be for a range of issues including schooling, dealing with health issues, managing behavioural issues, housing or social care issues etc.

This survey will collect information about the agencies providing support and the levels of support available.

It would be appreciated if you could take a few minutes to fill in the brief questionnaire.  Please complete the attached survey and return it to trish.vallance@bristol.gov.uk .  It will be really helpful if you do reply even if you only have occasional contact with Deaf parents or children as we are trying to find out about the range of agencies where families can find support, especially families in BME, refugee or migrant communities.  All answers will be treated confidentially.  Please respond by 17th November 2016.

If you have any queries concerning the survey, please contact Trish Vallance on:
