South Gloucestershire Consultation on future maintenance and management of sports pitches and playing fields

Tennis Court information pack

As part of the Council Savings Programme (CSP) we are required to achieve savings of £145,000 from within the maintenance and management of sport pitches and their facilities. In order to meet our savings target, and to assure future use and access to these public open spaces and associated buildings, we would like to invite third party groups to take on responsibility for these playing fields and facilities through a lease and licence agreement.

If groups or organisations are interested in taking on a lease and licence for this site, then they should submit an expression of interest form to us by the 19 December 2016.

Further information about this consultation and the expression of interest process is available in the Frequently Asked Questions.

This window for receiving Expressions of Interest is open from 21 November until 19 December 2016. It is important to note at this stage no final decisions have been made. We are keen to receive feedback from residents and other interested parties, including sports clubs and other users of the facilities, on the proposals.

Clubs, groups and organisations wishing to find out more are invited to an Opportunities Event on: Wednesday 14 December 7 to 9pm at Kingswood Civic Centre, Committee Room 1.

To book your place at this event, please email: consultation@southglos.gov.uk or call 01454 865881. Please note that places are limited to 2 per group.

If you would like further information or to comment on these proposals, please contact us via the following methods:
