Greater Fishponds Community Champions – Greater Fishponds over 50s Watercolour Class
Hear from local residents about how watercolours have brought them together and not only improved them as artists but connected them with each other and their community.
Last year, one of our volunteers Kim Butcher expressed the interest of applying her art skill in the project, hence we started this beginner’s watercolour class for over 50s in Hillfields Hub. Within a day we got 10 sign-ups for come to our taster session, and after that, we have 8 regular attendees to come to our 10 week class.
Greater Fishpond Community Champion is a Bristol Ageing Better and Big Lottery Funded Project. We are a local action project working with local older people in Hillfields, Frome Vale and Eastville. We can help Fishpond community members by:
• Supporting you to start a new group
• letting you know what’s on around you
• introducing a new activity in your community! Our project is led by local residents and volunteers.
