NHS in England to care for people after a relative or friend’s suicide

The government has announced plans to roll out dedicated bereavement care, on the NHS across England, for people who have lost someone close to them due to suicide.

Initially, 10 areas will benefit from the £1,082,000 fund – support ranging from one-to-one sessions with trained volunteers or counsellors, group support, or signposting to specialist mental health services.
