How the Voluntary Sector can partner with the Council to achieve a healthier city

The Care Forum Annual conference: 1.30 – 4.15pm, Wednesday 22 November – “Partnership Working.”

Marvin Rees, Mayor of Bristol will be speaking at 3.30pm as the Keynote Speaker at The Care Forum Annual Conference on 22 November. Marvin will be sharing his vision of ‘How the Voluntary Sector can partner with the Council to achieve a healthier city.”

The Care Forum has 21 years’ experience of working in partnership with local people and groups. “People lead busy lives with complex challenges, and we recognise that simplistic responses don’t go far enough. Partnerships with residents, communities and other VCSE groups provide the best opportunities for sustainable solutions. TCF is excited to work with existing and new partners on creating meaningful, long term change for all of our key stakeholders.” Vicki Morris, The Care Forum CEO.

Supporting speakers at the event are:

Alex Raikes of SARI (Stand Against Racism & Inequality), Chris Noble of SEAP (Support, Empower, Advocate, Promote) and Sand Saprai of The AVOICE (Advocacy for vulnerable victims of crime in Avon and Somerset project).

There will also be workshops running at the conference including Partner Dragon’s Den – pitch your ideas and find the perfect partner and Partneropoly – based on the board game Monopoly; Partneropoly is a life-size version where the players are the pieces. Participants are challenged to come up with new ideas for collaboration as they move around the board.
